We may love Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones, but we ourselves aren’t Lannisters. Well, nobody I know is. So while any bank or lender would be dying to lend money to one of them, our options are quite limited. This is where Mastercard comes in.
A Lannister always pays his debts. We on the other hand, have trouble with the all kinds of debt payment. When was the last time you were comfortable with the mortgage? Or had extra cash to spend on whatever you wanted? Or could afford a brand new Ferrari?
That reminds me, my credit card payment is due. Maybe if we were as smart as the Lannisters in managing our finances, we could just afford an Iron Throne of our own.
Come to think of it, why doesn’t Tywin Lannister just order one of those himself? They may have captured King’s Landing, but probably won’t be able to keep it for long. They should just buy a new throne and move to Qarth or some other nice and sunny place. How will the Lannisters ever be able to withstand a dragon onslaught?
In any case, it’s an excellent and ingenious Mastercard advertisement. I hope it’s real.
